Hydro Thunder (Greek Isles) N64 basics
6Here's a quick video of me running through Hydro Thunder's Greek Isles course on a Nintendo 64, while explaining my thought process and providing basic strategy. As I only came in 2nd place, I'm clearly no Hydro Thunder superman, so if you have any more advanced tips please drop a comment below.
This is also a test of my "new" capture technique, which stopped being used back in the early days of youtube called "aim the camcorder at the TV." This is because all of my DVD recorders (and I bought 3) add 5-6 frames of lag. N64s especially like having a real CRT, and fight upscaling to modern tech, so maybe this works--let me know what you think about that below too. I really am not 100% sold on this technique. What's better? An HDMI mod is probably out of scope for my channel, and the framemeister hates N64 for whatever reason.
