For this battle, we have to rescue Urbosa and Revali who are being attacked by Blight Ganons. However, they're immediately saved by Riju and Teba who just...show up through a time portal. They later say Terrako was responsible for that, but it's pretty vague on HOW he did that or how he picked out characters from an alternate timeline to pull into this one.

And this is what makes it really hard to describe this as a "prequel" to BotW. Because we have characters FROM BotW show up in, and they're all post-plot too, BotW has already happened for them. This is why you really want to play BotW BEFORE you play Age of Calamity, otherwise you're not gonna know who the heck these random people are.

This stage is basically split up into two parts, with Urbosa and Revali's HP acting as the time limit for them. First we rescue Urbosa by boarding her Divine Beast and fighting off Thunderblight Ganon, who is much easier to fight in this game than in BotW. Next we do the same with Revali, fighting Windblight Ganon alongside him and Teba.

We get to play as Riju for a bit after rescuing Urbosa. I'm not a fan of her moveset, it's a bit too sporadic and same-y with the animations. She attacks by sliding around with her sand seal, Patricia. Her ZR lets her dash forward with it and become even harder to control.
