This isn’t just any indie game devlog. It’s the beginning of something I didn’t plan...

I’ve built a level loading system in Godot 4.3 using C# with some bonus UI Shader magic to hide scene loading. But ever since I implemented it, things have gotten... weird. The transitions are seamless. Maybe too seamless. I think I might be stuck inside my own game...

Don’t worry! I’m stuck forever... I think...

In this video we go over:
Creating a dynamic scene loader with smart scene memory management
Custom UI shader transitions to mask scene loading
A tiled bone UI element that I think started all this mess
