It's been a long while since I've done one of these but I was at Retro Revival yesterday and saw Ant Attack creator Sandy White talking about his games. Ant Attack and Zombie Zombie I'd obviously heard of but his last game was new to me and it looked interesting enough to give it a go. Sandy didn't have much good to say about it himself but it has to be said the graphics are seriously impressive for a 1985 Spectrum game. The gameplay admittedly less so.

The aim is to wander around a maze collecting parts to build a robot. The maze has junctions with 3 crystals one of which warps you to another bit of the maze, another to another junction and the other gives you a chance to collect whatever robot part is at that junction. The robot parts have to be collected in the right order and I only finished this with a load of old fashioned mapping on paper.

Watching this will get old very quickly but I've never let it put me off so far + the game wasn't even on Youtube before as far as I can tell. I definitely recommend skipping ahead if you want to see the ending.
