[Synopsis]

This video is a vintage game play video about I, Robot. I, Robot is a very interesting game, because it used 3d graphics, and this was at a time when most games were 2 dimensional. The Vectrex video game console used 3d wire graphics, but the geometric shapes weren't filled in with color. For this game, you have geometric shapes filled with color that span space rather smoothly. That is what makes this game special.

This games is a puzzle like game action game, you do move and shoot in a 3d environment. However, there are rules to the game, like you can only make bridges to cross if you are adjacent to a red square. There are obstructions, like the green squares which are raised higher than blue or red squares. You also have enemies that try to destroy you, and you have the evil eye which is activated when it is red. If you try to cross when the eye is red, it will shoot its beam and destroy you. On top of all that, you have to solve the puzzle within a time limit. It is a game designed to make you put in a lot of quarters, like all arcade games. After all, in business time is money, and the harder you make the game the more money the arcade owner will make.
