Another obscure PS1 shmup most people have probably never heard of, even less seen any footage from. I know it has recently been released on PSN in both Japan and USA, so that might be a good source if you want to try the game.

The first thing that should hit you is the voice acting at the beginning of the game. It's supposed to be English! I didn't know before I checked the settings, seeing that it was set to English voice. The graphics aren't anything to write home about either, but that's where my biggest criticism of this game ends.

The soundtrack was actually pretty damn good, making it the strongest point for this game. The gameplay was rather traditional, but it worked. I'd say the hitbox was a bit too big, your ship covered a lot of the screen and you move rather slowly, but they did make up for it with a shield, so you could take more than one hit. The power-ups are pretty standard fare. The bosses wasn't amazing, but they all had many forms and somewhat varied patterns etc.

Really, I enjoyed my time with the game. I might go back and set up the difficulty level a bit, because I don't think this is the entire game. Might even just be half of the game. I've tested and it seems if you run out of lives you get a continue screen that let you continue from where you died. No restart of the level or anything like that.
