Well, took a break from this game, come back to it and beat this boss in a day! I guess I was right about the idea of relearning the boss since it led me quickly learning how to deal with the fire/water phase.

This boss is about 80% timing and 20% luck. This boss isn't as bad as it seems because the first 3 phases can be repeated identically, the only thing that makes it hard to repeat is getting the timing down for transitioning from phase to phase. The only thing I can really say about the last phase is that making the transition where I do here seems to make it easier to survive the first few seconds and find a better position to dodge, after that it's random chance mixed with more timed shooting.

Anyway, that wraps up the boss rush, leaving the actual Stage boss, and goody! It's a familiar face that I'm nowhere near beating in said game he is from! Oh well, I'm pretty sure he's easier but it's 2 phases so it'll take some time to get both done. It really is quite incredible I'm actually almost at the point where I can say I've completed 6 stages in this game.
