I Was Stumped On How To REDUCE Loud Background AC Noises Until I Tried THIS
2Don't you just love it when you have LOUD HUMMING BUZZING noises in your recordings and can't get 'em out using Audacity? Well, I think I've found a method that can, at least, reduce the noise enough to be bearable for YouTube videos. I live in a house where an HVAC (Air Conditioning) unit is RIGHT OUTSIDE MY ROOM, and geez when it's on....you can HEAR it, even after using Noise Suppression, Noise Gates, and all that good stuff.
In my earlier DELTARUNE videos you could hear it, but I didn't feel like I had to stand for it anymore, so after some countless YouTube vids and Reddit threads, I found out about OpenVINO AI which has a GREAT Noise Suppression tool you can install right into Audacity and works pretty good, and is very straight forward to use.
I know "AI" is a forbidden word with a lot of creatives, but this AI we're using is NOT generative -- it's more like an advanced noise suppression tool in a sense.
That tool is good as a starting point, but as you'll see in the video, there's still room to play around with the audio some more using things like EQ Filters, Noise Removal, and in some cases Noise Gate, though that last one isn't shown in the video proper.
