Some new Intel Alder Lake benchmarks have surfaced, this time for the mid range CPU, the i5 12600K. There have been a lot of leaked performance benchmarks for the flagship 12900K Alder Lake processor, but these gaming benchmarks give us our first look at the mid range performance of Alder Lake with the 12600K.
We examine how the i5 12600K performed in this gaming benchmark compared to Zen 3 Ryzen, specifically the Ryzen 5600X. Intel has struggled to compete against Zen 3 Ryzen 5000 processors from AMD, and all the recent leaks of gaming and synthetic benchmark results seem to show that Intel is finally BACK. Of course, Zen 4 is on the horizon, but Alder Lake may be enough to gain a lead against AMD Ryzen in gaming and workload performance benchmarks until the release of Raptor Lake. So how does the hybrid architecture compare?
The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S have been CRUSHING IT in Japan. The Xbox One struggled to gain any real hardware sales or mindshare with Japanese gamers, but this generation the XSX / XSS has smashed the console sales record in Japan set by the X1. While Sony's PS5 and Nintendo's Switch are still ahead, it shows that the Xbox brand is finally making progress in the Japanese market.
