Ice Age : Dawn of the Dinosaurs the Video Game Gameplay chapter 3 - The Pursuit
1Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (or Ice Age 3) is a video game based on the movie with the same name. It was released on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii, Playstation 2, Nintendo DS, and PC by Activision on June 30, 2009, 1 day before the movies release. It is the sequel to the Ice Age 2 video game.
Most of the cast from the movie voiced the characters in the game, with the exceptions of Denis Leary, Simon Pegg and Sean William Scott.
The game allows the player to take control of Manny, Sid, Diego, Scrat, Scratte and Buck as you take on or run away from dangerous dinosaurs, roll an egg to safety, chase for your beloved acorn, and explore caves and jungles over fifteen levels. However, some characters are just for tiny parts in the game, like Manny and Diego. The main character in the game is Buck. There are eight mini-games to play either in single player mode or with friends in multiplayer and get things from Fast Tony. In the multiplayer mode you can play as Mini-sloths and Baby Dinos. There are three different bosses in the game: Ankylosaurus, Chasmosaurus and Rudy.
In this level, we're playing as Diego. All you have to do is getting close to the gazelle before it escape. The mission failed if you get too far from it or if you run out of time. Pineapples speed you up, water slows you down while ice surface not only slows you down but also dragging you off the main track (I called the ice surface as the source of frustration 10 years ago because I failed the mission many times because of the ice). I failed the mission on purpose twice because I was planning to unlocked all the game's concepts and finally just finished the mission quickly before getting to the third crystal (I replayed the game again after making this video to get the last crystal). When the player catches the gazelle, Diego couldn't chase it anymore (Maybe because he no longer hunt just like how he used to). The gazelle mocks Diego for running out of breath and runs off leaving Diego in the dust.
