Ice Age : Dawn of the Dinosaurs the Video Game Gameplay chapter 2 - Baby Proofing
4Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (or Ice Age 3) is a video game based on the movie with the same name. It was released on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii, Playstation 2, Nintendo DS, and PC by Activision on June 30, 2009, 1 day before the movies release. It is the sequel to the Ice Age 2 video game.
Most of the cast from the movie voiced the characters in the game, with the exceptions of Denis Leary, Simon Pegg and Sean William Scott.
The game allows the player to take control of Manny, Sid, Diego, Scrat, Scratte and Buck as you take on or run away from dangerous dinosaurs, roll an egg to safety, chase for your beloved acorn, and explore caves and jungles over fifteen levels. However, some characters are just for tiny parts in the game, like Manny and Diego. The main character in the game is Buck. There are eight mini-games to play either in single player mode or with friends in multiplayer and get things from Fast Tony. In the multiplayer mode you can play as Mini-sloths and Baby Dinos. There are three different bosses in the game: Ankylosaurus, Chasmosaurus and Rudy.
In this level, Manny asks Sid to help with his playground he built whereas the player must grab leaves and throw them onto rock piles. After covering the rock piles with leaves, Sid must coat sharp rocks with mud balls and melt sharp icicles in the cave. After this is done, it's Manny's turn to uproot tree stumps located inside the area that Sid couldn't access before as it was blocked by wooden gates. Carl and Frank (the Brontops, a species of extinct prehistoric rhino) trespass onto the area. Sid must now use the Brontops to destroy the large rocks. To gain the rhino's attention, Sid must throws mud balls at the rhinos, which causes them to charge at Sid (The charging will destroy the rocks automatically if Sid stand in front of the rock when the rhino turned at him). The dizzy Brontops can be controlled for quite a while by Sid, but will throw him off if it takes the player too long. Sid must lead the rhino to charge at the rocks in order to destroy them. Carl and Frank leave afterward with Ellie complementing the playground.
I encountered a strange bug or glitch during the gameplay recording, the bug or glitch happened when Sid double jump and slam the circle of rocks near the berries frozen in ice cubes, he fall straight beneath the ground as if falling on a cliff but the fall didn't end as if there's no ground for Sid to land. This bug prompted me to restart the game from the checkpoint and repeat the mission back from the beginning for the second time, there's no bug occuring on the second time I restart the mission.
