Icewind Dale 2 - What Race Should I Play?
8Welcome to my gameplay guide for which race you should play in Icewind Dale 2, a classic CRPG set in the world of Forgotten Realms. While previous Infinity Engine D&D games such as Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 as well the first Icewind Dale game used the 2nd Edition AD&D rules, Icewind Dale 2 actually uses 3rd edition D&D rules.
This means the racial bonuses are MUCH different than in previous entries, so while you might know your Forgotten Realms lore and understand the whos and whys of the races of the game, the pros and cons for the various races have to be taken into consideration when creating your party for adventuring in IWD2.
