The final stretch of chapter five played blind on hard difficulty with a custom party. In this part the adventurers find themselves in a mini kingdom at the volcanic base of Dragon's Eye, they get caught in a time loop and have to change the past to escape. Then it's a brief return to the Ice Temple for some pest control and a journey through the Fields of Slaughter. My inventory was bulging at that point and I didn't know when or where the next trader would be so before entering the next area I backtracked to sell off some loot. This led to me discovering a couple of secrets, including the Lost Followers, which is probably the hardest fight in the game.

This playthrough is a raw, warts n' all blind capture, with little editing for "entertainment" sake, so it includes all my inventory management, buying, selling, levelling, travelling to and fro etc. It's just meant to be a raw archive of my playthrough so it is what it is. I have spliced footage at save points if I had to reload, which I usually only do on a party wipe or if a crucial character died before I got the raise dead ability, obviously there will be splices between different gaming sessions too and whenever I stopped the recording to check the footage. Because I'm editing losslessly to preserve quality I can only splice on keyframes, which in my editor equates to about every four seconds, so if you're wondering why the splicing is sometimes loose, that's why.

I had some technical problems with audio while capturing this, it would only record in Windows Game DVR and sometimes it would capture with distorted or "skipping" sound. Whenever this happens I've mixed in parts of the game soundtrack over the top as it makes the bad sound more tolerable. It doesn't happen often though and I didn't want to scrap this 100 hour playthrough because of it. It only happens a few times in this part for very short durations.
