Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition - OC - Character Creation - Sorcerer (Blind)
16I create a sorcerer in Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition. It's my first ever NWN character and was designed to be a strong blaster and ranged fighter with decent AC and HP. I wanted him to be good enough to complete the official NWN campaign on very difficult and he was, full playthrough to follow.
Just so you know most of my knowledge on how to do this build comes from playing Icewind Dale 2 and from the NWN manual. He has weak strength and wisdom, average intelligence, good dexterity and constitution and excellent charisma.
Strength isn't important for a ranged sorcerer but can be useful if you want to carry more loot, I used the Bull Strength spell whenever I needed a boost in strength.
Wisdom doesn't matter much for sorcerers either.
Intelligence isn't essential but I didn't want to nerf it too much as the skill points come in handy for some aspects of casting, especially if you want to prestige or cast epic spells later down the line (you won't reach epic levels in the OC btw). I only put skill points into concentration, spellcraft and lore, if you're not interested in the Dragon Disciple prestige class then you can skip the lore. The good thing about sorcerers is they can use spells for a lot of the skill based tasks like lockpicking, identifying and trap disarming, also factor in henchmen and familiars and you can get by without most of the skills just fine.
Good constitution and dexterity are worth having for decent HP, AC and a better chance to hit with your ranged weapon, as a sorcerer you'll most likely be using a crossbow though sling is an option. I recommend eventually getting the Cat's Grace spell for a long lasting dexterity buff too.
Charisma is the best stat for sorcerers so max it out, it'll give you more spells and make them work better, plus you'll generally get more favourable reactions from people, especially the opposite sex, you'll want lots of charisma trust me.
Everything else about the creation process is just personal preference.
