Iji - Part 3 - Pseudo Retro
8Iji is a retro style run and gun platformer where you control Iji, a woman cybernetically altered against her will and without her knowledge, thrust into single handed combat against a horde of alien invaders. The only person around who can help you is Iji's condescending and controlling brother who speaks to her through loudspeakers throughout the base.
There's a surprising amount of plot, character development and exposition peppered throughout the levels as Iji learns more about what's happening and understandably gets somewhat overwhelmed.
I'm not sure my commentary came across too well this, party because of the repeated interruptions for reading out exposition dialogue.
It's a fun game, with some RPG elements as Iji levels up, and looks like it could get more interesting yet. I will probably continue playing it off screen, since I pretty much ran out of stuff to say.
