Star Control 2 - Part 23 - Overlooked Oldies
61Star Control 2 aka The Ur-Quan Masters is a project that recreated this great old game from the original 3D0 source code into a form that can run on modern PCs. It's apparently exactly the same as the old game, so it's more of a rebuild than a remake.
Anyway, it's much bigger than I expected, an epic space adventure with imaginative aliens, free roaming gameplay, resource gathering, and of course space combat.
A few in-game years have elapsed now and my force is becoming formidable and I'm learning more and more of the secrets of this strange galaxy.
For strange legal reasons it apparently has to officially be called The Ur-Quan Masters, but we all know that it's Star Control 2
