Recording with my Note 10+ held up to the rear of my Dipol D128 and I illuminate a little fox cub that's about 40-45m away. I spotted him on the road then tracked him as he went into the field. Recorded him on Thermal too.

The IR flashlight is this one below, totally worth the money I paid, I actually bought a second one too in case this one ever dies.

it's a 850nm, and you get a single 18650 battery and charger for free.

I've used an old bicycle handlebar flash-light mount to mount it to the side of my Airsoft helmet, and it works great, has a zoom function too, usable distance is about 100m or so.
