Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach is a free-roam survival horror game and is the second game in the franchise to be developed by Steel Wool Studios, with the first game being Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted and is the tenth installment in the Five Nights at Freddy's series. It was first announced on August 8, 2019 (the fifth anniversary of the series) with the release of the first teaser. It released on December 16, 2021 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. The game is the sequel to Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted.
The game was released digitally on December 16, 2021, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5, with ports for other platforms planned to be released at later dates. The physical release for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 was released on April 1, 2022. A Google Stadia port released on July 1, 2022. Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game were released on November 22, 2022. The game received mixed reviews from critics. A Nintendo Switch port was released on April 19, 2023. A free DLC expansion titled Ruin released on July 25, 2023 on Microsoft Windows, Playstation 4, and Playstation 5, with release on other systems at later dates.
