So just as I was about to unite Asturia, the game decided to corkblock me and freeze up. Lovely. Because it's a multiplayer game, we were able to recover it pretty easily (Yuudai just made a save on his end cause it didn't freeze for him), but this does happen in singleplayer as well. In that case you just gotta load the autosave.

Technically, only the screen is frozen, and you can still interact with stuff, and get audio feedback for clicking. So if you memorise (or guess) the locations of the various buttons you need to click to make a save, you can make a save before quitting. Such luxury.

This is a pretty common issue, and I wasn't able to find any solution online. People report different things that make them freeze more often, and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. One suggestion said that turning Map Objects off in the graphics settings reduces the amount of freezes.
