Improving the Customer Experience with GCP at Unilog and TCN (Cloud Next '18)
Unilog and TCN, two global B2B technology companies, were both facing unique challenges. Demand for Unilog’s software platform, which facilitates ecommerce for businesses managing millions of SKUs on their websites, was growing exponentially. They needed more reliable, accelerated client deployments. TCN was hosting their innovative, SaaS-based contact center solutions across a private and a direct competitor’s cloud. They needed to migrate to a more brand-aligned, innovative environment.
Both companies knew they needed to modernize their existing infrastructure stack in order to improve their customers’ experience. So they each partnered with Agosto to analyze their existing stacks to reduce operating costs, provide better scale, and speed up client deployments using Google as a public cloud provider.
In this session, Joe Bennett (Senior Vice President at Unilog), Jesse Bird (CTO and co-founder at TCN) and Rick Erickson (Chief Cloud Strategist at Agosto) will walk through their unique cloud migration and modernization strategies, highlighting: operating challenges and the expected benefit moving to Google’s public cloud; how they progressed from a privately hosted environment to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and their considerations for the future; the path to modernization, improving operating costs and the customer experience; and how the move to GCP ultimately impacted both companies.
