IN THE ABSOLUTE BATMAN UNIVERSE, ALFRED IS AN AGENT!
211• In the Absolute Batman universe, Alfred isn't the loyal butler we're accustomed to; he's an undercover MI-6 agent. His mission is to uncover Batman's identity and stop him if necessary. Bruce's most trusted friend, in fact, is a potential enemy. However, Alfred harbors a deep conflict; behind the mask, he still sees the young Bruce who lost his father. This makes their relationship much darker and more dramatic. On the one hand, Alfred must fulfill the orders of the state, while on the other, he secretly helps Bruce survive. This isn't easy for him.
