Incorporating Live Music in Video Games | Full Sail University
If you’re working in video games, it’s important to remember that music is an essential part of the experience. At any given point in a game, the music you use can add an extra element to emphasize what you’re trying to convey. But you don’t need a big setup to create live or recorded music - you can do a lot with just a microphone and a pre-amp. From creating an electronic score to giving a part of the game emotion, the music you choose makes your game unique. Building a score and creating music for your game can be as simple as utilizing skills you already have, whether that be playing the guitar or percussion, as long as you remember to go out of your comfort zone and create sounds in new and interesting ways.
