6The US CPI inflation print for the month of April came in elevated at 8.3% but lower than the March print of 8.5%. The India print is expected on the 12th of May 2022. The India print is expected to come in at 7.4% which is quite elevated after the March print of 6.9%. This is also indicated by the fact that the RBI raised rates vide an off-cycle meeting held at the start of this month. Inflation pressures are expected to continue to remain elevated on the back of higher food inflation and cost of fuel rising steadily.
