Global oil prices have continued to remain volatile, with brent crude trying to claw back some of its earlier losses as its trade today. Since its June high of $121 per barrel, brent crude has fallen by close to $22 dollars amid fears of a potential global recession sparking concerns about oil demand. Meanwhile, in the latest jolt to the UK government, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson stepped down as the Tory Party leader. Johnson, however, intends to carry on as Prime Minister till a new leader is appointed. The chain of events was set in motion when Chancellor Rishi Sunak resigned citing lack of trust in his leadership.
