Script -

A great man once said "release Titanfall 3" and then immediately released splitgate 2 battle royal. Which is sort of like demanding someone make the Mona Lisa and then doing explosive diarrhea. It just ruins the magic you know. It’s like a Cross salesman demanding the second coming of christ. It’s just like, what’s your motive man.

EA recently put the bullet in an untitled Titanfall sequel due to industry downsizing, they want more sure things, and despite Titanfall being a cult classic with some incredible level design and an awesome multiplayer it just never had the mainstream juice.

Well two devs said hold my sour ipa flavored monster energy drink and have whipped up a playable build in Unreal engine in just two months. after playing it for an evening or two i can safely say it's as technically stable as Israels relationship with... Humus.

But it's crazy to see this thing is actually playable at such a sketchy phase. I can only imagine that in four months it'll be twice as much a game as it is now.

Features include destructable buildings, grappling hooks, wall running, as well as mechs you can call down or even steal from other players if you're quick enough.

The destruction in particular got some people referencing The Finals, which is another game that is talked about more than it's played, because gamers don't deserve nice things. I think before it can earn that comparison the game will have to do more than add holes in things.

You can host matches online or go strictly LAN. More games need to go back to having LAN modes just on the offchance i in particular want to play it With my friends.

Textures are as you can see entirely missing, and guessing from the occasional poll that appears between deaths they'll eventually add bots for ult farming.

I had a look at their other projects and they have some pretty good augmented reality stuff and a bunch of projects that I'd definitely recommend maybe not bragging about.

So do i think this project has the juice to become a fully fledged thing? Hard to say, if they had cooked a bit longer before showing everyone then it'd be easier to capitalize on the hype before it dies down.

On the other hand showing people a proof of concept to gauge interest isn't a bad way to know if you're wasting your time or not. And the reaction so far has been incredibly positive.

So I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Here you go, Here's my doubt: I don't think this will get off the ground.
