Shadowgate is a point-and-click adventure released for the Macintosh in 1987 and reimagined for Mac and Windows in this 2014 release, courtesy a successful Kickstarter campaign. I speak with Karl Roelofs, designer of both the classic and updated editions of Shadowgate, about what it was like to revisit a classic franchise, how modern technology has allowed the team at Zojoi to update Shadowgate, the challenges of fundraising, and the future of Zojoi's other series, Déjà Vu and The The Uninvited.
