"This mix is dedicated to Max_M. It was made the same weekend the terrible news that we had lost him arrived. Just a few days before he had cancelled our gig together at Tresor and then, so suddenly, he was gone. Everything stood still. It was such a shock. I have an enduring and very bright memory of Max that I would like to share. I dared to play 'Go' by Moby at Berghain a few months ago and at the end of my set Max came bouncing over and gave me a big hug so happy and surprised that he'd heard it there and danced. He explained how it was one of the most important pieces of music on his journey and I could imagine exactly how that must have felt as it was something that we shared. I could feel how the excited Max of 25 years ago must have reappeared for that moment. How time meant nothing. How there was just music and the feeling. Connecting with music is what we do and something that Max was very gifted in and devoted to and I have chosen to end this mix with this memory which will echo onwards. Thank you Max for your music and vision. We miss you."
