inRun (2023) - Every PC Rally Game

A modern homage to Sega's Out Run, inRun (geddit?!) features a raft of cars, many of which, like the Peugeot 205 T16, have come from the RCC Designs (RetroCartoonCars) Unity off-the-shelf assets.
I quite like Ivanovich Games titles; MiniDrivers was a fun take on F1, Touring Karts continued that theme, and this is... somewhat different!
You basically thrash down some memorable locations with 80s synth music blasting out (switched off here so you can hear the engine), trying to collect coins and perform tricks that the over-the-road barriers tell you to. Doing so unlocks credit and cards in the shop, to unlock more cars.
The whole thing is wrappered in a story line about a former arcade game playing "king" who's daughter you're trying to impress in your car, and trying to beat his high score, or something. Many of the cut scene graphics are clearly AI generated, as is the plain voice that introduces each part of the level... but I kinda like it?! It's definitely got its own vibe, this game. It also supports VR!
Not really a rally game mind you, but contains a rally car!
