Insanely EASY Face Performance Capture for METAHUMAN ANIMATIONS in Unreal Engine

MetaHumans in Unreal Engine 5 bring an another level of quality to your projects. Thanks to the MetaHuman Creator tool it's really easy to get started with digital actors and place them in your level. But it becomes a bit more intricate when you want to animate your MetaHuman. But it doesn't have to be. Today I'll share a quick and easy method of using the Live Link app on Apple devices such as the iPad or the iPhone. It's a free app called Live Link Face which lets you animate the face and get facial performance capture really quickly in UE5.

I'll show how to download the app on App Store, how to connect the iOS device to your computer using the IP Address, how to calibrate the face mask, what to do if your hair mesh is glitching or not working and how to record the face animations in the sequencer. It's actually really easy to get realistic MetaHuman animations! Let's have a look!
