Play Amiga games on your Windows PC using this easy method to install an Amiga emulator, complete with hard drive and WHDLoad support.

I'm using Classic Workbench which is a pre-installed Amiga setup.

This video uses annotations that help explain what I'm doing, these may not display on all devices.

usually kickstart files that contain an exclamation mark [!] are confirmed good.
you can also dump your own kickstart ROM if you know what you are doing.

If you are getting your kickstart files from elsewhere it's generally best to go for the latest revision of each type.

when copying to the Amiga hard drive they will need to be renamed:

I used file: [ADF] WORKBENCH v3.0 rev 39.29 (1992)(Commodore)(A1200-A4000)(M10)(Disk 2 of 6)(WORKBENCH).adf

as long as it's a 3.0/3.1 Workbench .ADF it should be fine (disk 2 of the set); again you can create and ADF from your own floppy if you know what you are doing.

You can also create your own ADFs from your floppy disks; bear in mind that some games have protection and will not allow you to do this, in which case you will need to find an ADF online.

ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS

I forgot to mention:
once you have completed the installation delete the two configurations at the bottom in the Configurations section (marked delete), then on your next boot choose a config (usually the top 'A1200 Real' is best).

This installation is giving you an A1200/A4000; UAE can also boot as various other Amiga models, this is why when you boot it gives you the warning about System ROMs required.
Our installation is using WHDLoad so we can play older games and software without needing to boot as another Amiga model.
If you had a standard UAE installation without a hard drive setup then you would need boot and configure a particular Amiga model to get the game or software to run.
