A quick cheat for Thunder Force IV on Mega Drive/Genesis

This cheat will give you 99 lives.

It works on the US (Lightening Force) and European releases of the game.

To enable the cheat hold down the Start button and button A when the SEGA logo appears;

this will display a Configuration Mode menu where you can alter some of the settings for the game;

from this menu set the Stock Ship to read 0.

Once this is set when you start the game you will have 99 ships.

This cheat does not apply to the Japanese release, if you select 0 Stock Ships in the Japanese version you will get 0 Stock Ships.
