Microsoft is releasing a new version of Edge that runs on the same technology as Google Chrome. This will increase it's compatibility in many areas, allowing more standardization with web sites.

Another major benefit is that just about all of the extensions written for Chrome will work on the new Microsoft Edge, Chromium edition.

Here's how to download the new browser and how to configure it to allow installation of Chrome extensions.
