Windows 10 - WiFi Slow? Reduce Conflicts with Nearby Networks
Slow Wifi performance? there could be many reasons. If you are on an older system and 2.4GHz, it could be very slow. Maybe your network drivers need updating.
But in today's crowded world, it may just be interference from other nearby networks. Here's how to check to see what wifi channel your router is using and what networks are near you. Most importantly, you can see what WiFi channel they are using.
Once you know that, it's just a few steps to change your router's channel so you are operating on the channel with the least traffic.
An additional note. If you only have a wired desktop, you can download a network analyzer for your phone. They'll do the same detection of nearby networks so you can change your WiFi channel if necessary.
