I know, Snap and Flatpak is there to offers the latest version of GNU Image Manipulation Program. But, a containerized package isn't for everyone. Personally, I prefer to install / update / upgrade GIMP using the traditional method, because it's faster, lighter, and doesn't take up much storage.
