Samsung have recently updated the controller on the EVO 970 Plus from Phoenix to Elpis (Same controller found in 980 Pro but configured for PCIE Gen 3x4). The new controller is not as fast as the old controller with sustained write speeds being hit considerably. Still it is a good value for money drive when bought with offers floating around.
