Intel 8 Core Coffee Lake S Spotted | Microsoft & AMD Announce Ray Tracing
the first entry of Intel's 8 core Coffee Lake S has been found in the wild, it's unclear if this Coffee Lake S Intel 8 core CPU is an 8th or 9th generation processor, but it is running on an engineering board which is a Z390.
Xilinix have announced the first ACAP, which offers massive performance increases over the previous generation. According to the company, offers major performance advantages over CPUs while consuming less power and more customisable than a GPU.
The Nintendo Switch may have a new revision which features the T214 Mariko, which is a variant of the Tegra X1. According to leaks, it features a new PCB and support for 8GB RAM instead of the 4GB currently in the Switch.
Microsoft and AMD have revealed some details regarding their ray tracing support. Ray tracing on Microsoft's DirectX 12's API will be an extension supporting hardware based ray tracing acceleration on future generation of GPUS. It will have a backup software path that will run ray tracing on the generic GPU components on the current gen of graphics cards.
