Emulated a reflection to replicate the envmap system in BF1942. The original "chrome" disco ball did not provide a accurate reflection since maps in BF1942 only support a single envmap for the entire map.

I instead used 3DS Max have a projection map bake a reflection of the room onto the lightmap of the disco ball. I then animated it to match with the lighting in the room.

The ball doesn't actually rotate. The rotation is achieved via a second ball that is partially transparent. I added specular to make it shine a little bit (may increase it a little more from what is depicted here). Thus the illusion of it rotating is achieved. If the part with the reflection rotated, it would brake the realism for obvious reasons since the reflection is post production and is not dynamic.

EDIT: Finalized render of Disco Ball with animated reflection. Now with glimmer shine effects.
