The Constitution Mine. Such a formal, important name for an abandoned mine. Nonetheless, Paul, Chuck, Justin, and I headed to this remote, abandoned mine to explore and document it. We entered two portals that both led to extensive workings and large stopes under the mountain. Deep in the mine, we all ascended one ladder system to an enormous upper stope and spent quite a while exploring every nook and cranny of it. A highlight of this trip was finding an old log cabin at the mine with a collapsed roof. We estimate the log cabin to be around a 100 years old!
