I've been playing World of Warcraft since early 2006, so it's been a part of my life for quite a while. I've decided to make an on-and-off Let's Play of the game, doing one zone at a time to experience the lore and the many stories of this huge MMORPG!
Blackfathom Deeps is an underground cave system near the shores of western Ashenvale. For many years, the evil Twlight's Hammer cult has used it as a hideout where they worship the most dangerous creature of these caves; Aku'mai the Devourer. Aku'mai is a giant hydra and a favored pet of the Old Gods. A while back, these caves also hosted a large bunch of Naga, Murlocs and other dangerous sea creatures, but they've now mostly been slain and the Twilight's Hammer has expanded and taken over pretty much the entire subterranean ruins. A few creatures not associated with the cult does still reside within the Deeps, like the giant tortoise Ghamoo-Ra or a gigantic crab. The Twilight's Hammer must be stopped, and Aku'mai needs to be dealt with, or they'll pose a major threat to Azeroth!
