Under The Sea! - Let's Play WoW: Ashenvale: Horde - Part 170
Here it be barren
You keep on starin'
Nothing to see!
Maybe a Naga or a crab
Other than that it's very drab
Listen to these tones
Just like the new zones
Needs more seaweed!

I've been playing World of Warcraft since early 2006, so it's been a part of my life for quite a while. I've decided to make an on-and-off Let's Play of the game, doing one zone at a time to experience the lore and the many stories of this huge MMORPG!
Ashenvale is the great elven forest at the southern foot of Mount Hyjal. It is one of the most contested zones between the Horde and the Alliance, as it borders to the Horde-controlled zones of Durotar, The Barrens and Azshara. The Horde and the Alliance has been at eachothers throats for years in this forest. The Horde needs more lumber to build their homes and other things, while the Alliance, and especially the Night Elves, is trying to protect the forest (which is sacred to them.) But the big conflict between the Horde and the Alliance is not the only danger within these woods. Demons from the Burning Legion still linger here, especially the Satyrs, and remains a threat. From the ocean in the west, the Naga has invaded the beaches of Ashenvale, and deep within the subterranean caverns of Blackfathom Deeps the Twilight's Hammer Cult has a stronghold. And if that wasn't enough, fire elementals, green dragons and the wildlife is always dangerous as well!
