Opening movie from the adventure game, Space Quest 6: Roger Wilco in the Spinal Frontier, released for MS-DOS and Windows computers in 1995. This was the final game in the series. It ran on the new SCI32 game engine, using 256-color Super VGA graphics at 640x480 resolution. The interface resembled LucasArts' SCUMM interface this time. The game featured 3D--rendered images, with Gary Owens (Laugh In, Space Ghost) narrating once again. It once again was well received by critics, though some also panned the game. It tied for Adventure Game of the Year by Computer Game Review magazine in 1995. The Space Quest series, as a whole, had sold in excess of 1.2 million units as of 1996.
