Introducing Our First Community Creation: The Stinky Black Banana Peel
18This is an extra special Super Mario World romhack from LetsTalkGames! While a lot of people love SMW romhacks.... not many players understand how Lunar Magic works, or are generally intimidated by the complexity of the application. In an effort to show the community what goes into designing a romhack- I decided why not make one as a group! We spent a little under 2 months working together on palettes, graphics, sprites, and countless other design choices to bring you 'The Stinky Black Banana Peel'. While the final product may differ slightly from this video playthrough, I am VERY proud of what we all made together, and I hope you play and enjoy it as well!
You may notice things are a little different with this one. I made sure to turn down very little in the way of community ideas on purpose so everyone felt involved. This project brought in a variety of different eyes to the channel, and the final product is something I think everyone involved can be proud of.
Many people have asked me over time why I choose such abstract names for my hacks and the answer is simple: 'Smoked Fish and Cabbage' and 'The Stinky Black Banana Peel' are childhood jokes I decided to give a second life. As a teenager my friend and I always made really off-the-wall jokes, and one was whether or not we would ever be musicians. We joked that if we did make it as musicians- we would name our first album either 'Smoked Fish and Cabbage' or 'The Stinky Black Banana Peel'. I also figured with such strange names as opposed to something like 'Super LetsTalkGames World' my hacks had a better chance at grabbing someone's attention.
Thank you all SO MUCH for such an amazing journey so far! This is hack 5 from me, and I look forward to bringing more your way! I hope you enjoy :D
