♫Invaded City (Imperium, 1st Stage BGM) SNES Arrangement - NintendoComplete
86This is an arrangement of Tenpei Sato's "Invaded City" theme from Imperium on the Super Nintendo. It has been arranged for native playback on SNES hardware, and the audio was recorded directly from a launch-model SNES deck.
Like so many other aspects of the game, Imperium's soundtrack had the potential to be brilliant and ended up falling completely flat thanks to the dubious technical skills of its programming staff. (If you've played any other game made by Jorudan, you know exactly what I'm talking about!)
Anyways, I've always loved this track's composition and how metal it tried to be, so I decided to cover it to make it better resemble the way it has always sounded in my head. It was fairly difficult, what with the tuning and mixing of so many guitar samples (14 in total, iirc!), figuring out the triplets and those endless strings of arpeggios, and having to track it out all by ear, but it came out pretty much the way I hoped, and that's always nice to have happen.
