You know how it's hard to hit or destroy Casper's drone when it is in motion, well imagine that drone had a torch that you could use to burn the enemy :) As far as I can tell the server can't update all the clients in the server of both the drone and the player at the same tick-rate or some other rate because that would basically mean the server and client need to be able to process twice as many players and their locations ( 256 ) as worse case scenario for 128 player Conquest would be 128 engineers + 128 EOD bots. Is it possible for current hardware to handle it? Probably but it would probably cost or require some kind of sacrifice to other parts of the game otherwise I don't know why they'd keep Casper's drone and the Engineer class's EOD bot using different update or tick-rates from the server. At least that is what it looks like because from the client perspective or my perspective everything looks fine however my EOD bot's location isn't being accurately shown to the rest of the players in the server ( so long as it is in motion ) so the server doesn't update the other players' clients or the game doesn't update its location as often as it does say a player running. Short version, really bad desync makes the EOD bot seem invincible to gunfire or bullets because they are always shooting where you were and not where you are according to the server.

It's a bummer the EOD bot in this game doesn't have the same 360 degree attack range the Battlefield 3 or Battlefield 4 EOD bot did.

The best part of this is the screams since you are technically burning them with the EOD bot's torch they end up doing those burned alive scream voice lines they for some reason added into Battlefield 2042 and it's amazing.
