iPad Pro USB C Hub with 4K HDMI, USB 3,TRRS Mic Input & Headphone Socket and USB C Data & Charging
Just a simple demonstration of the Dockteck 5-IN-1 USB C hub for the iPad Pro. In the video I'm
using the iPad Pro 2020 but this dock should work with all iPad Pro models that have the USB C interface socket.
This USB C dock hub should also work with the 2021 iPad Pro M1. Although the iPad Pro M1 now has a Thunderbolt interface port socket, this socket is also compatible with USB C up to USB C 4, which means that the new M1 iPad Pro 2021 should work with all the same peripherals that all the previous iPad Pro models with USB C worked with.
In this video I show the USB C dock working with a USB C to SD card reader and playing 100Mbs video files from an SD card without any problem. I also show the USB 3 ports being used with another SD card reader and once again playing Sony 4K XAVC S video files in realtime without any stuttering or issues. I also show the USB C ports being used with a wireless keyboard and mouse. Then I show the 3.5mm headphone audio socket working with a wired microphone and wired headphones. This headphone input is a TRRS type which means that it also doubles up as a 3.5mm mic jack input as well.
Finally I show the iPad Pro 2020 with a HDMI output via the Dockteck USB C hub dock interface. While this output is 4K 60Hz or 60FPS frames per second, the output does have the usual black bars at the side, pillboxing, along with some slight black bars top and bottom, letterboxing. This pillbox and letterbox effect may vary slightly with different HDMI cables, TVs and monitors.
The USB C socket on the hub is designed to be used for power and charging as well as for data.

I will be doing many videos about the 2021 iPad Pro M1 including testing peripherals and comparing them to the 2020 iPad pro. One of my first videos tests will be for a Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter for the 2021 iPad Pro M1. I will also be getting the new 2021 Apple 6th Gen.
