IPHONE 15 PRO MAX GAMEPLAY WITH WARZONE MOBILE NEW UPDATE 3.1.1 BEST ULTRA HD MAX GRAPHICS GAMING
23So after the disappointment that was Warzone Mobile on the new Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, which is completely broken 😆 https://youtu.be/aOPZH2W6Yak I decided to cheer myself up with a game of Warzone Mobile on the “older” iPhone 15 Pro Max.
This latest Warzone Mobile update 3.1.1 does look awesome on the iPhone 15 Pro Max with its graphics set to the highest quality. However, and to be fair about these things. The only way I can play WZM on the 15 Pro Max is to use a block of ice and a fan 😂 Serioulsy! Without all that extra cooling, there is no way that the 15 Pro Max can play the game after about 6 minutes, as it super heats up, throttles and melts off its own face 🤣
So far then, Apple’s A17 Pro flagship processor in the 15 Pro Max and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 8 in the S24 Ultra, both have serious issues with Warzone Mobile. However, give it a few weeks and I’m sure the problem with the SD 8 Gen 3 and S24 Ultra will be sorted but I don’t see the 15 Pro Max with its A17 Pro ever getting better with WZM. As its thermal performance feels far to high to ever be tweaked without some heavy throttling which will result in a huge impact on Warzone Mobile gameplay.
So while the 15 Pro Max is technically better for graphics and resolution and does render a better looking picture. I think the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and S24 Ultra will win out in the end because it runs way cooler and just needs some minor fixing and/or optimisation for it to have the better consistent high frame rate. With a higher consistent frame rate being preferred over pretty graphics with a fast paced shooter like Warzone Mobile.

All my portable devices, phones and tablets, use USB-C docks for HDMI output and ethernet connection to my internet router. The HDMI gameplay outputs from my portable devices, consoles and gaming PC are mostly recorded using an Atomos Ninja V in 4K 60FPS using ProRes 422 HQ and monitored on a TV or computer monitor. I edit my game capture and gameplay on a MacBook Pro M1 Max using DaVinci Resolve Studio in 4K 60FPS. I then export in H.265 100Mb/s 4K 60FPS and upload this export to YouTube.
