Playthrough of IQ Intelligent Qube for the ps1, a game that can only be played by a true genius( not really XD). A very interesting time based puzzle game with no convoluted rules or gimmicks and a amazing soundtrack to boot. The difficulty setting for this game will dictate how fast the cubes move and if you play on level 0, it will be same as playing on level 1 but you will have the markers above your capture mark and on the advantage cube mark all the time( finishing the game on level 0 however wont give you a ending through...). The only thing the game wont explain in its rules is what truly happens if you get crushed by a cube. Basically if you get crushed, all cubes will race to the end( you can still try to capture whatever cube passes through you to try to minimize a loss of a row) and any cube including the forbidden cubes will count towards the block scale and if this happens when theres still another round of cubes left, the game will say "Again" and the same exact pattern will repeat and the marker is enabled for that pattern only. On level 4, its hard to keep focus on everything without messing up especially on later stages with weird patterns already at the start where unless your perfect and fast, there wont be enough travel distance to complete the puzzle. In this situation your goal is to minimize damage because if you clear a entire round, the block scale is reset. Even through the game might look simple theres some advanced tactics will can do: One tactic is the advantage cube block in which you place a regular capture square in place of one of the other spots a advantage square will capture to block that spot( to prevent a forbidden cube to be captured. Since i didnt play this game in so long, i forgot about this particular strat) and the other is the multi capture in which after you perform a regular capture, you quickly capture another another block however, its very difficult to do it on level 4( its almost frame perfect). The Final strat is the block bypass, if you stand perfectly inbetween the seans of the blocks( easier to do all the way through the left or right), your character wont get crushed so you can move inbetween the entire puzzle and basically cheat through the puzzle but its almost impossible to move perfectly inbetween then outside of TAS so dont expect to do it pixel perfect consistently. In this playthrough i play the game the way its actually intended to be played so no glitches or abuses involved.
