Is Meghan Markle making a return as an actress with the upcoming 'Suits' series?
The Suits world is getting a new episode, thanks to the series' rebirth on Netflix, and fans are asking if Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, will return to the beloved program.
According to Deadline, creator Aaron Korsh is working on a new series for NBCUniversal. While specifics are still being revealed, the next concert is expected to take place in Los Angeles. The show will be situated in the Suits world, but will follow new characters and take place in a different place, so it's doubtful that the same actors would appear.
Patrick J. Adams played attorney Michael Ross in the original Suits ensemble, while Meghan Markle played Rachel Zane.
Following the comeback of Suits, fans are clamoring for the return of the Duchess of Sussex. In August, a source suggested that Meghan may be contemplating a comeback.
"She's ecstatic. Meghan would love to earn a new TV job, but she is more interested in a dramatic film role. "She believes an Oscar is in her future," claimed the insider.
The insider went on to say that the Duchess of Sussex had received lucrative offers but turned them down because she wanted to embrace her royal role.
"She'd gotten a bunch of offers over the last five years but turned them down because she really was trying to embrace royal life and, later, forge a new path behind the scenes in Hollywood with Harry," she said.
"But now that's all changed," the insider explained, adding, "With other opportunities drying up, she's actively looking for roles and talking to some big-name directors and producers." Harry is completely on board with everything. Meghan is familiar with and has always enjoyed acting."
