I tried some questionable action that you can do... or not, in Terraria, like deleting everything on Terraria world, and checking if the world is evil or not. and I tried to check if there's ore spawn just by breaking one altar or not. How about some defense stat, going down? Can negative defense happen in Terraria? What would it do when if it was actually possible?... Well, it is impossible, how do you find that, you might ask, well, we do have the power of modding. Terraria mods, like calamity...

...Wonder if you somehow tried this in normal world and condition, like placing every banner in master mode? That would be very difficult...
