And did you notice how his eyes were moving around a lot? It wasn’t a mistake on my part lol. It’s something Aaron does when he’s not paying attention or when he’s lost in his own thoughts. He didn’t care what Arienna had to say about what he does. To him, no one gets to dictate what he does with his time. Especially someone he’s been actively working against. He knows she may try to kill him, but they are of equal power, if he’s not more powerful than her. It would take a lot. He knows that she doesn’t want to go through the trouble. He had gone through way more than she had. While she was out there advocating for peace, he was being captured and harmed. Evidently, she didn’t care enough. But even then, he wouldn’t stop what he was doing regardless. He had to make sure that people knew what humans were capable of. More specifically, he needed to make sure that they knew what he was capable of.
